As shopping in Pizzoli does not offer much possibilities, you might prefer to go shopping in L’Aquila. Here are some ideas
To reach this, you need to take a bus (best from University Coppito (the one where you study) ). If I remember correctly, a bus (busses in L’Aquila?) number 6S, 1 and 15 do there but better check it on the bus stop, or ask the bus driver “Va a L‘Aquilone??”. Be careful, not all Ama busses stop on every stop (1, 2 and 3). I wouldn’t use the one by Globo (bus stop 2) at all. As for Arpa busses, usually those going through the small village next to Pizzoli (called Marruci) will also go to this complex L’Aquilone and will stop at the bus stop 3. As we are in Italy, I say usually, so many busses do go there and it might be safer to use Ama and go back to University Coppito stop.
By the way, one of the 3 canteens in L’Aquila (link to be comming) is near.
Globo is the cheapest option for clothes shopping in L’Aquila. And the cheapest shopping center.
Arpa stop 10 mins Ama stop 5 mins.
MD discount is inside Globo or . The cheapest option for shopping food in L’Aquila. If I should be too picky, I would say Lidl has a bit better quality but we all survived on this for 6 months
– the biggest shopping center L’Aquila, they have quite good pizza fast food. There is a supermarket, phone shop, clothes shop and have great ice cream
Arpa stop 7 mins Ama stop just outside.
– quite good sport shop in L’Aquila and a nice place where to get a bike in L’Aquila (a new one). The biggest sport shop in L’Aquila. They also have a online shop where you can buy stuff and then just collect it in this actuall place. Of course, you can shop here directly (I really do enjoy just to walk around )
Hyper China is very cheap. They have everything, excluding food, but don´t expect much of a quality.

Galluci (or how ever is it spelt ) is quite expensive but has a great position and the quality is also nice. But still, unless you realise you have 10 minutes till the bus, pick something cheaper.
As for Conad I haven´t been shopping here much but from what I heart, nice quality and normal prices.
Carefour (the big and the small one)
Carefours are more expensive but good quality and in the big one, you have everything.
– the cheapest option for shopping in L’Aquila.
– like Lidl, like MD, just a bit less stuff to offer. And have great chocolate – coco cookies
Markets in L’Aquila
Fruit Market Shop

If you search for cheap food shop in L’Aquila: Lidl, MD, Ins are your places. If you would like something better: Conad, Carefour, L’Aquilone. If you need something as soon as possible: Galluci.
Also don´t forget, that you are here mostly only for one semester, so it is possible you will be changing – throwing away stuff after that anyway, so lower quality for this reason might not be a big problem.
When throwing away your stuff away, make sure to put it in a clothes container (one is here, next to the Lild), you might help someone else a lot by doing this Some reasonable things can also stay in your residence and the next one after you might find them the same useful as you did.
Good luck! ..and feel free to share the link to this article where ever it can be helpful.
