My blogging story: Beginning blogging – Let´s get social

Beginning blogging and wondering where to start? Welcome to my world of a lame blogger ;), that didn’t hire anyone to help to start with and is now going through all this fails and bails.. I am in my 4th blogging Month now and have finally cut down my Social Media To Do list. After you set up your blog, it is time to get social through social networks. But wait. Which one to choose?? What social network connect with blog? Here are my tips on some social interaction.

Not beginning blogging at all just wondering when a new post is up? So here are some possibilities about how to keep being updated (without me actually bothering your mail box )!

#1 social network for bloggers: Pinterest

Pinterest is a very strong tool and I strongly recommend it really just after you decide you are begginning blogging. 90 percent of the pictures on Pinterest come from blogs and blog posts and after joining few groups, Pinterest became my top 1 source of traffic. What else shall I say? Sign up, verify your blog and get the traffic you deserve

#2 social network for bloggers: follow my blog with Bloglovin

Bloglovin is a great source of inspiration and a very easy tool allowing you to follow other blogs and them following you. After you verify your blog through posting a link, you get fully updated wall in here

#3 social network for bloggers: Facebook

Travel blog lifestyle blog on FacebookFacebook is number one social network in Europe.

Having a European blog, a facebook widget was the first one on my page.

(Not mentioning I started to actually use it last Month )

My page got 142 likes within 12 hours, thanks to all the amazing supporters I have been having. So go for it!

#4 social network for bloggers: Google+

If you want Mr.Google to like you, you need to like him too. Just an update: all the ‘How to get my picture next to my blogpost in the google search’ hassle is over now, Google has turned this function off. If you like some more SEO news and understand german, check out this seo blog.

#5 is Networkedblogs

I am quite new here, so I am waiting for some more time to pass to give you reasonable feedback  ;)

Let’s get social: Emails

There are many people out there saying, if you are not collecting Email addresses, it is your time to start doing right now. They are the most important you can get from your visitors. Visitors come and go and a sensible Email is your way of getting them back to your page. However, from my own experience, I know I get rid of those quite quickly, sometimes even the same day I subscibe. So I am still trying to find my way of doing this.

There are two more missing on my list:

#6 social network for bloggers: Twitter

Simply, because I haven’t been a huge fun of it as for my personal profile and I still think, Facebook is more popular in Europe and Twitter in USA. I will get there, by the time. However, so far, I haven’t been missing it much

#7 social network for bloggers: Instagram

Having Facebook and Pinterest and Instagram being a Image Social Network.. I have decided to just run some pictures through Instagram filters and rather publish them on some of mentioned above. However, as well as Twitter, it is one of the Social Media To Do, in the future.

General rule of a successful blogpost

Generally holds: you should spend as much time propagating your content as writing it. Social networks are a great way how to do this.

So get there, join groups, find your audience, and get social. Good luck
